Joint efforts are required to promote Entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment: RCCI

Rawalpindi: Joint and collective efforts are required to provide a conducive environment for empowering women and attracting them to entrepreneurship. An environment that enables women entrepreneurs to access the resources and offer support needed to develop their businesses, scale them up and make them sustainable. These remarks were made by Saqib Rafiq, President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) during an interactive session with the delegation of Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) and Rawalpindi Women University who visited RCCI here on Thursday.


He said that the efforts must be made for improving access to finance, technology, innovation and good governance. To foster such an ecosystem and multi-sectoral collaboration, a concerted effort by policymakers, financial institutions, the private sector and women entrepreneurs’ networks is required, he added. He also briefed the delegation about the current activities of the chamber.
Chairperson Ms. Fakhra Shadab, Project Manager SFEA Ms. Wardah Iftekhar, distinguished women members of RCCI were also present on the occasion.
